Ser Expedicionário: um desafio conjunto

Abstract

This monograph deals with joint operations from the standpoint of expeditionary "capacity." The objective of this work is to present a positive agenda of actions, in the field of how to do, that contributes to the improvement of that Strategic Defense Action. Clausewitz's Theory of War explains the relationship between the three dimensions of warfare (political, tactical and strategic), guided the organization of this text. In addition to the Introduction and Conclusion, three other chapters have been written. In Chapter 2 - Political Considerations the framework of the desired military capacity were discussed. Chapter 3 - Tactical Considerations was dedicated to the operational capabilities related to the use of the means in the engagements. In Chapter 4 - Strategic Considerations the approach dealt with the force project that generate and sustain a combat element that could materialize the intentions foreseen in the National Defense Policy and Strategy. Among the conclusions, we highlight the role of the Ministry of Defense regarding to the effective integration of the Brazilian Armed Forces.
